hello guys and girls

just started into open rails after playing MSTS for years

the issue i have found when operating in multiplayer with a mate is
that when the other person couples up to my consist the air does not seem to go through the train and the brakes wont release correctly for either of us

what exactly is the procedure for a second player to couple to my train and assist my train do we set the brakes up?

hope i have worded this okay as have not posted on Railpage for a while

thanks in advance

I would suggest that you search the OR manual for the word 'brake' to get an overview of how they work. OR better simulates real world braking functions and operation. I suspect you need to go into the 'Car Operation Menu' after coupling, where you can connect air pipes and operate angle cocks.

Also bear in mind that using the default settings, the charging, application and release of brakes reflects real world times instead of the 'gamey' MSTS defaults. Using the F5 and SHIFT+F5 HUD displays you will have a better understanding of the status of the brakes throughout the train.

Hope this helps.

Sorry I have never done multi-player so I wouldn't know, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The forums have a dedicated forum for OR Multiplayer.

You will probably get a more knowledgeable response there.
