Use one at a time. When you open the second one make sure it is the same drive letter as the first.

Open disc 1 and run the installer. When it asks you to insert disc 2, eject disc 1 like a regular CD and open disc 2.

In terms of drive letters I am referring to the letter next to the name of your drive (C:, D: E: etc).

You need to install the content first. If it's an .exe, just run it. If it's a zip, rar or 7z you need to open the file and follow the instructions (look for a README file). You can use 7-zip if needed.

im on winRAR not qiute sure what you meant. the readme file says "Unzip this archive to a temporary folder, then move the AUeppingline folder to your Train Simulator/Routes directory". not qiute sure what that meant.

ok now theirs another problem when go and start the route it comes up with a message saying "no extended shape for asphalt platform" then it comes with a yes or no when i go on no it says "failed to open file"
i also downloaded the asphalt platform from uktrainsim

Double-click on the .exe to install. Once that is done, look for it in your Start menu. Right-click and select "Run as administrator".

When the program opens, in the folder selection panel on the left, select the folder for your route (in this case "AUeppingline"). Below it, select the "Route Utils" tab and click the "Confirm Route" button followed by the "Check Route" button. Click "Yes" on any dialog that pops up.

Once this is complete (it may take some time) try running MSTS.

You don't. Click on the link and look under the heading "Installer".

Done that but it has a lot of things that said they were missing from the aueppingline route what do i do now?

Step 1) Follow these steps to install MSTS on Windows 7

It's pointless having it silenced as stated on the Steam4me site

Step 2) Install MSTS update, XTracks, New Roads, UK Fine Scale, MSTS-Bin

NOTE: You don't need Route Riter! This utility is mainly used for Route Builders
To make it easier to package routes

Step 3) To increace the ram of MSTS http://msts.steam4me.net/tutorials/xtra_mem.html

Step 4) Install the routes, trains, consists, sounds and cabviews
*** Read the readme files *** for more information regarding the add ons

Step 5) Run MSTS and your ready to drive learn the tutorial in MSTS it will show you how to drive a train

AS for the ISO image run it in NERO and put in a BLANK DVD/CD into your computer's DVD/CD drive and it will burn the image to the disk then close Nero and then run the CD or DVD rom you just burnt the files to it go to Computer in Windows 7 and if there's an Installer.EXE file run it according to this http://msts.steam4me.net/security_unblock.html#not_open

You will need to do this requirement to ALL installers related to MSTS, and keep in mind your MSTS path as many installers are old and haven't been updated to read MSTS from the registry

Notes: When finding Australian add ons on trainsim.com search keywords like
Aus, Australia, AU, NSW, VIC, Victoria, Melbourne, Melb, Syd, Sydney, New South Wales, QR, QLD, Queensland, Bris, Brisbane and so on until you get used to it, it becomes quite easy to find Australian add ons

When you have completed all those steps you should be able to run the route in OpenRails as well as MSTS.

Note that you may need to repeat the steps above for each addon.

I would also recommend installing ScaleRail, tsection.dat build 46 and camcfg.dat v4.

I didn't say it to offend anyone, just most of the responces in this thread wasn't quite direct

As for choosing a locomotive in Open Rails you need to first select a route then choose your locomotive and consist
as stated earlier in this thread

If you cannot see any consist available for the add ons, you will need to create one to run your train either in MSTS activity editor or using conbuilder see the links below

Have you selected the "Train Simulator" profile (first dropdown)?

If so then wait a bit and see what happens.
