Steamrail Echuca Explorer with R761 - 22 October 2016

We went for a look at R761 en route to Echuca as I'd never actually seen a train on the Toolamba - Echuca line.  The R looked great roaring up to Heathcote Junction, then we caught it at a number of places on the way to Echuca as we zig-zagged west and north to keep up with the train's steady NW heading.

Weather was mostly sunny in the morning, with dark cloud and rain squalls heading across the paddocks in the afternoon.  We managed to dodge the clouds mostly, with a wet shot between Mangalore and Seymour enough to convince us to bail out!

A great day, Steamrail!

Heading towards Nagambie and stormy skies

South of Mangalore in pretty unpleasant conditions...

Some great shots pacing 761 - I do enjoy watching the motion gear on the R, particularly if there's a bit of speed on.
