Back to a split platform start, locos and first 11 carriages left Platform 2 at 11:45am and backed on to the rest which was in platform 1
8108 as the terminal shunter.
No report from last Sunday as I was sitting in the departure lounge at Gate 20, Adelaide Airport as the Ghan was leaving (Couldn't quite make out the locos from there but I believe it was NR109 NR75

To give an indication of the length of the train (950m), when the first section was backed onto the second section (in platform 2) the locos were just south of the Sir Donald Bradman Drive road bridge!

it appears that pressman is just talking to themselves here.Absolutely not. I for one follow Pressman's weekly reports with great interest and find I quite miss it when he is (rarely) occupied elsewhere. Even details such as which loco is doing shunting duties are of interest to me.
Some of us were raised to stay quiet and just listen when we don't have something useful to contribute to a conversation, and that applies equally to Railpage forums.
