Yes I recall it being installed over a period of several months around 1973.

It was installed at the northern end of the former DFO on Spencer St...unsure if it's still there.

Was at DFO in Spencer St. but they didn't really want it and is now sitting in boxes somewhere.

Recent media article said that negotiations are under way to have it re-installed at the Convention Centre on the Yarra banks at South Wharf. Think that would be a fabulous spot for it given the place's exposure to interstate and international visitors.

Definitely worth preserving but is to cost over $2 million to do re-install.

Being an old coot, and enjoying the type of art in which I can recognize things instead of meaningless blobs, I thought the mural was great. Right above "The Man in Grey" and the entrance to Spencer Street Platform 1, it was a dominant feature, and I'd love to see it back.

It, or part thereof, is at the northern end of the DFO complex in that new cheap (?) overseas fashion shop.
Was in there last Saturday after the footy just to track down the mural.
Pity with all the supports for the lights interrupting the view.

I took these photos from the viewing platform many years ago and meant to go again when I got a better camera, but the place was closed off for redevelopment when I went again.
Now there's not much point taking more photos of it.

It should be at Southern Cross or Flinders Street but I don`t know where there is a big enough blank space at either station to install it .
Perhaps it could be a feature at say the new CBD South station on the Metro project which will link with flinders Street and be a major interchange point .?

They used to have a printed copy of the mural to give out, I have one somewhere, if I track it down, I may scan it.
