Ho road/rail signs

Hi,
I've been looking online for some Aussie ho signs.
I have found some and they look good ,
But have found for example 1 pack has the corner and one way signs and then another pack has stop and give way etc.
They are only $6.95 a pack but alot of them I won't use.
I've seen Luke towans video on how toake your own but at the moment my laptop is on the blink and can only use my phone.

Does anyone know anywhere better/cheaper to get them ?
Or has anyone got any saved to there computer they might share .
Thanks mark

Tank Creations on Facebook does a heap at very reasonable prices.  He did some special requests ones for me.  Lachlan is his name.  Well worth a look.
Otherwise, Dept of Transport website.  Copy and paste into a publisher document, resize, and print on thin cardstock.  I have a file with a few I can forward to you if you wish.  I measured up a heap of roadsigns to get real life measurements, I am certain other motorists must have wondered what I was up to lol

Hello Mark,

I found the following link

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=australian+road+signs&client=ubuntu&hs=PWi&channel=fs&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjotv21kO3UAhXBI5QKHe3bBhEQ_AUICigB&biw=933&bih=436

which will give you the signs. Copy and paste these into your drawing programs

I use Libre Office/Open Office (totally free at https://www.libreoffice.org) and use the Drawing bits with the rulers to get the sizes I want for building fronts for my backdrops and walls for the 3D buildings I have done and you are aware of. You could apply the same techniques to these signs. You could use Publisher and Word the same way!  Make the signs a bit smaller and you could force perspective and make the scene look bigger!

Hope this helps

Nice share Trevor. Wonder why they never showed the railway on side road Railway crossing ahead signs? I guess like most, they never noticed them Sad

You mentioned backdrop buildings. I once had a site saved that had many background building shots, but I cannot find them. Lots of lineside buildings and truck train type pictures.
You dont by chance have directions to them?
Cheers

Thanks Rod and Mark,

I saved a number of Tomkats buildings from both the Model Railroader and Trainboard sites which is just as well as Photobucket are now charging and consequently have blocked access. I do have a number of these but not the entire set somewhere on my computer. I could email some to you directly to see if they are the same ones ... xdford47@yahoo.com.au

You can see some of what I have done on http://yourmodelrailway.net/view_topic.php?id=9679 and scroll down to get some of Toms fronts into 3D buildings. I did change some of the labels to suit local needs...  see if they suit!

I find Open Office/Libre Office easier to manipulate the pics and overlay local signs etc

As for the crossing on the side road sign, you could take a picture yourself of one and scale it down... should be fairly straight forward...

Cheers

Trevor
