An update on the 48 & 830 class has been announced, with painted samples shown on their Facebook. Looks like these might be here around the end of the year / early next.
The numbers on the model of 847 are wrong.
The last six 830 class built, 847 to 849 and 868 to 870 were built in 1969 for standard gauge.
AE Goodwin used the stencils used for NSWGR locomotive numbers on these six locomotives.
The shape of the "8" in particular is incorrect for these six locomotives.
I don't believe any of these six were ever repainted in their original colours.
847 to 849 were leased to the NSWPTC for some years in their original paint.
It isn't as if any of this is news. Trainorama had the correct lettering on the model of 869 which I have.
