Photos are on at least two of the well known Queensland Facebook groups ????I gave Facebook away some time ago. I'll see if I can find some from other sources.
Not an Australian article but this is a well known phenomenonMany Australians are giving Facebook away as the service is actually in decline in the most import age group.Source please?
Wow so young 20 somethings and Teens are Supposedly moving to the instant gratification platforms of Twatter and crapchat,Hardly news at all as they have been all over those platforms since they started,Meanwhile Adults and older people have been a steady source of membership for FB which is hardly in decline at all.The point is existing users getting older, new users not coming on board in sufficient numbers = flawed business model.

Also the theory is that our demographic will eventually reach saturation with no growth as there are very few multi billionaires that will have kids in their 80s.
FB has become my defacto photo album, especially while travelling as an expat. And yes it therefore makes it easy to share with friends and family although my parents, my wife's parents and a close friend are not on FB. I do however detest how FB has changed in recent times, becoming a political platform for many for which I'm slowly weeding them out by not following and clicking "show less of this".Wow so young 20 somethings and Teens are Supposedly moving to the instant gratification platforms of Twatter and crapchat,Hardly news at all as they have been all over those platforms since they started,Meanwhile Adults and older people have been a steady source of membership for FB which is hardly in decline at allI think the theory is that once us older ones fall of our perches no one will be replacing us from younger generations. However the theory has a flaw in that it assumes that FB will remain static like Myspace and not evolve or acquire other platforms to to generate growth. That has been one difference between FB and the other failed social media platforms is that FB is not adverse from evolving.
I think Twitter was heading downhill until the current POTUS has raised its profile for use. Hence its recent change to double its character restrictions and generally Twitter users tend to be pollies, journalists and celebs. The growth is for instagram or snapchate, these are the growth models. However will they survive and evolve will be interesting as I am sure new "in" platforms will arrive for the following generation and grab their growth. It is simply a fact of life of modern social media.
Yes,Putting FB to one side, social media generally will eventually kill off free to air television if their revenue streams keep falling at 4% a year. The takeover of Channel 10 by CBS will see a FTA/Social Media hybrid type of station emerge. I am happy the Murdochs lost out as they just wanted it to prop up their dying Foxtel model.
I wish I had such a bad business model. No.1 or No.2 website in the world
Growth figures which only point to Mark Zukerberg being the most wealthy and influential person of all time. Move over Bill Gates.
