The union are behaving badly imo. Idiots.

Yep, in a previous job I always new that if I lost my MSIC I would lose my job. Apparently the CFMEU and MUA think otherwise. I'm pro union but if the facts are correct in the article (it is the Herald Sun so i am a bit skeptical) its ridiculous actions like this that put a lot people off unions these days.

As you can see, I'm back on the air waves, after another trip back to the Wimmera and Western Victoria.

Harvest observation's;

Plenty of grain has been stripped and quite an crease in volume at Dimboola as we Barreled past, plenty of grain still to go, so I reckon the harvest is about half way through perhaps a bit more.   ( i'm referring to the area along the western highway, then south to cavendish )

Strangely enough still lots of Canola still wind rowed and yet to run through the header.

Observed at GrainFlow Dimmy a train being loaded, no sign of the loco's, two grain wagons on the Nhill side of the loading shute and the rest of the consist on the Dimmy side.

A long freight train passing the grain site at the same time and another grainy resting on the main line at the Pimp loop, was late in the arvo.

The Dimmy site getting plenty of grain and working generally 7.30am till 11.00pm although the last few nights till midnight ish.

The recieval sites at Nhill have had plenty of grain delivered as well, old wobert might have a more detailed report on this.

Any idea if they are hauling 2 different rakes, they seem to be alternating runs ATM.

Good news for Portland if they are going to ramp up Grain at the port.

I think they're two rakes. The one in today seems to have more graffiti than the last one. I'll try and get some wagon IDs.

Might be some issue at Geelong as today Thursday 21/12/17  no action grain wise on either gauge and roller doors on grain loading shed on Grain Loop actually down and closed .

So with no facts at all about what is going on in Geelong you jump straight to the assumption that there is a problem.

There's a lot of speculation about what's happening at Geelong, it seems that a grain ship that was supposed to turn up didn't so the silos were full, the grain came to Portland instead.  Now the ship has decided to turn up after all, we have had our last train today and they will resume taking the grain to Geelong.
None of that might make any sense but then what does at this time of year.

Jeez Clyde, the expression "choose your battles" springs to mind! There are some people here on RP who don't post unless they have some pretty good (sometimes inside) information on the topic.

BTW I am not one of them! Cool
