The train was held there over 3 days apparently due to condition of the track. I'm assuming between Swan Hill and Piangil.

WOW! I hope they didn't have to pay for that path!

Oh, wait, this is Victoria, of course they did! They just would have made an announcement saying "V/Line apologises for any inconvenience caused"

VL360 boggies swapped to BG and running on the DN Paper train tonight with VL356. Extra horsepower added to QUBEs BG fleet. Hopefully enabling some maintenance to other locos and allowing other services to run more frequently ie. the grainy & toc.

So where did VL360 get its broad gauge bogies from? Brand new or off of another locomotive?

Bogies came from stored X53. Is that stored in Vic or in NSW? It's been out of action for a while now.

X53 has been stored at Islington Workshops following a Dynamic Break Grid fire on the 17th of September 2016 while working 6MP1 in the Adelaide Hills. It was purchased by CFCLA in September 2017 following her being offered to them by Auzion following their decision to exit the Intermodal game and has slowly been stripped of all usable parts.

I only read about it on another group. No knowledge of its history.

I thought X53 was on Standard Gauge

If that was swapped to Broad Gauge, where did it get its bogies from?

Bogies came from VL352 that is over at Goulburn workshops. The bogie frames can be used either for BG or SG.

X53 hasnt been stripped for "all" it's parts yet.

QUBE BG grainy on the DN to Quambatook this evening. First time there? It may cross the PN grain that was there earlier this evening too.

Report read on another group that the BG grain rake is being converted to SG. Can anyone clarify this? I find it a bit strange as there is still plenty of BG access currently.

Interesting development - finally BG rollingstock conversions to SG are happening post Murray Basin.

Can you post a link @cbinyon?

It's just people within the industry commenting on a Facebook group. Been confirmed by three people on it though.

No worries.  Some questions if you might know the answers?

1.  I assume that QUBE still have a BG rake after this?
2.  How many wagons and where are the bogies coming from?
3.  Any mention of loco conversions?
