    Just found out we had a grain train today, 8110 and BL30, must have arrived late.

    PN grain arrived about 0300, probably same locos as Saturday.

    Is same locos, 8110 and BL30.

    Second PN grain also on it's way to Portland today, just through Maroona awhile ago, 8163 and 8125, neither been to Portland before.

    Arrived about 1350.

    BL30 and 8110 currently unloading at the port.

    8163 and 8125 due in this afternoon (not confirmed yet).

    As for times you just have to hang around and wait for the action.

    8110 and BL30 are in town at the moment. It'll probably leave around 2.30 - 3.00, so I'd park in Canal Ct and go for a wander.

    I don't believe there's a set timetable, so either keep an eye on Y115's posts or just have a look in the Port siding.

    Last time both trains were here the first one departed not long after the second arrived.

    How far beyond the unloader do the rails extend? I gather not far enough for an entire train.

    Not much further than the yellow truck in the above photo.  They unload the train in three lots usually.
    Definitely not enough room for a whole train.

    I saw a Video a Short While Back which I believe was the Main Line into Portland. Notice there were a Lot of New Cement Ties along the Right of Way.
    I take it the Harbour Main Line is Being Up Graded for 21 Tonne Operations as Such. Not  sure who Produced the Video of Hand.

    There has been a large pile of cement sleepers in the harbour yard for the last few years, they replace old ones in times when there are no trains.
