Here’s a scene recorded this morning of 3526 hauling the first of four Hornsby to Gordon shuttles through Turramurra. With the best locations for video along this stretch of the North Shore line no longer usable due to factors such as extensive vegetation growth, the erection of high security mesh on all the road over bridges, the enclosing of the station access bridges, and elevator shafts obscuring the view from the city ends of the platforms, combined with the weather being way too warm for good atmospherics, I just could not get motivated to stay for the other three trips.
I’ve also included some video of a couple of past North Shore steam shuttle events for comparison.

Here are my shots from the day, it's good to see the Loco looking so nice and clean

Was a good couple of days for sure and a big effort for the employees and volunteers, smile all round the families who were out. Only a minor derailment of 3526 on it's return to Thirlmere yard from a shunter's error.

on sunday the 12th of august me and my family went into the city for breckfest i had not been up to date with railworks upcoming tours. i love nswgr steam trains so when it was time to catch the train back to sutherland were our car was parked i asked my mum if we could go to central and see if there were any steam trains i did'nt think there would be any so me and my mum made a bet as we walked down to the first few platforms i saw 1803 dressed up as tomas the tank engine and 4403 on the back of 3526s train i got my brother to get in the cab of 3526 and 4403 and he dose not like trains so that was a bonus then we watched 3526 and 4403 steam off to Hornsby as we went to catch our train home

far out that would of been something to see i saw a video once of a non streamlined c38 going maximum dang it was going fast sadly becuse i am 14 i was never around to see steam trains but thanks to books and the internet i have seen and learnt alot about steam trains working for the nswgr after the renumbering sceme in 1924 if i had a time mechine the first place i would go would 100% be a year between 1924 and 1960 to go train watching on the nsw lines

ps dose any one have any info on 3801 since there last news post thanks

infact i was just looking around on youtube and i found this watch from about 1:41 to 8:11 because in this time there is a sector just for c-38s
