The ship is headed to Brisbane next. More locos to drop off I guess. Some posts on the FB site say the locos had vacuum brake fitted and coupler heights changed. Wait and see as usual.
The actual statement on that Facebook group was (quote) Ex QR clyde locomotives 2275,2260,2261,2262,2269 being unloaded at Port Adelaide bound for Whyalla (end quote) as I copied that statement at 1.05 pm Friday. Most of the welders in the USA are either trained in the armed forces or in gaol and are not real good. If you possess really good welding skills you can virtually ask for any salary.
It's that sort of lack of detail we expect from the Chinese cost cutters..

Pacific National is running rollingstock tests with Watco's new wagons between Partington (Townsville) and Storth today on the North Coast Line. 8331 is the locomotive I believe.

There's three air hoses between the master and slave pairs and a power cable. No easily apparent labeling for ECP only.Thanks Sulla1, those hoses will be BP, main reservoir and brake cylinder supply hose needed on solid drawgear pairs, requiring only 1 brake control valve instead of one per wagon. The MR is to supply the lids and doors with air as well as a BP overlay for quicker recharge of BP, not required when running ECP as the brake pipe supplies a constant charge of air for faster application.
