Hey , I see Tom Cox's SR&RL No 24 there , great to see it will have a good track to run on. That loco is quite an achievement considering Tom was a pineapple farmer who did his own castings (and nearly everyone elses at QSMEE) and only had a very basic machine shop to complete such a project.
Train Mountains site is 2200 acres , not 650 as the Bendigo Advertiser stated . with 60 kilometres of track currently. After big build projects finish replacing aluminium rail and wood sleepers with steel and plastic work will recommence on track out beyond Hope out to the very north of the property to Ledyard Yard. TM has purchased another 60 tons of steel rail.
They are still looking for a bridge to go over the highway so Caboose Ridge and Rio Grande are further extensions. I have no idea what the total length will be.
