I also got this error message from my anti malware provider when accessing the Railpage website.No, expired certificates wouldn't cause packet loss. Packets aren't reliant on certificates.
"firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to api.railpage.com.au. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since web pages must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk."
Could this be related to your issue.
