USB chargers, increased luggage spaces, updated buffet area and more comfortable seats are included in the final designs for the VLocity trains which will run on the North-East railway line post the $235 million track upgrades.

So judging by the picture it is confirmed that the new cars will include club style seating and a buffet service.  That is good news!

Now if only these new cars could be rolled out to some of the other intercity routes...

I mentioned on the other thread about the North East upgrades there would be no harm in buy 2 additional sets and trialling some services in other parts of the state or even extending to Wagga Wagga?

I have no issue with that. If vline want to run SG services in to southern NSW then that is AOK. In fact buy a whole stack more and then send SG vlocities to Adelaide and we can be done with this Overland crap every few months. Maybe it is also time for NSW, ACT, Victoria and SA to have Opal and myki and the other ecards work together.
