Tell us about the Maoist Tin Hat Brigade, billy. Where did you learn about them, or did you just make it up?

You've only got your paranoia to 'loose'.
billybaxter
I think he meant "to lose."  ( lose as in misplace; not loose as in not tight.)

Not when they've got KGB ties with the reporters they employ, and might have had a hand in the whole Biden Ukraine thing.

Which I might add the FBI could take care of offically if it was an issue rather than dealing through backdoors, to which nothing came out of it and why it has never been mentioned again.

OANN's pro trump position still couldnt deliver a good poll for him.

See what I mean. A crude mixture of paranoia and Extreme Leftist ideology, the type that even excludes the U.S.S.R as being running dog lackies of some weird bourgeois conspiracy. Pure Maoist Tin Hat Brigade blathering.

The official odds of Trump winning the last election were 5 to 1 against him the day before the election. Biden is going to have to pick up his game if he wants to have a chance against such a powerful finisher. But I don't think he will, he looks like he'd prefer to be having a nap in the easy chair.

What the smeg smeg are you on about. I'm politically central leaning (I.e right of the Labour party)

I subscribe to the theory that someone in Russia leant trump money, and now they want it back. Its why he's been so secretive about his tax returns, why he's hiding the outcome of the report into russian interferance (which they would have released if it was pro trump).

(Also helps to explain why he's using the secret service to pay into Mar-a-largo every time he visits instead of using the presidential lodge, "free" money).

And the fact that he is the *only* world leader to want Russia at the G7 summit.

Boris Johnson is also sitting on a report into Russian interference after a donor made a quite substantial donation.

Something is up.

The KGB hasn't existed for 30 years. Everybody agrees that Russia has a place at the G7, Europe relies on Russia for its gas and petrol. Trump and Johnson are merely elected officials, temporarily holding office because the electorate believes they are the most suitable candidate to do so. You're clearly extreme left compared to most citizens of the Commonwealth.

It may come as a surprise to you that the U.S.S.R ceased to exist in 1991.

Billy; you're a great mixture of meaningless slogans and other drivel. I'm waiting for the day when you actually post some sensible, well thought out comment. I've already asked you about the Maoist Tin Hat Brigade; you failed to answer, and used it again. I can only surmise that you heard it somewhere, don't know what it means, but used it because it sounded good.

Then, to accuse speedemon08 of being extremely left compared to most citizens of the Commonwealth shows quite clearly that you are completely out of your depth in any discussion of politics. Your comments suggest that you are so far to the right as to make Genghis Khan look like a raving pinko, and that somebody has programmed you.

Agree, as I've said before, I find many faults with Trump, he could be better, but I think for the majority of Americans, at least those who make the effort to vote, if the choice is Trump or Biden then the smart money is on Trump.

Here we go again. Accusing me of being illogical, making no attempt to seriously address my arguments, then hurling childish insults. I know that constitutes political argument amongst the woke youth of Arts college, but it's puerile and unacceptable in polite, educated society.

Seriously addressing arguments? I'm still waiting, despite two requests, for you to tell me who or what the Maoist Tin Hat Brigade is.

I've explained it. Do you chuck a  hissy fit whenever anybody uses a compound noun in a sentence? I went to the corner store to buy fresh bread. Ooh. Would you like me to explain that?

No thanks; "corner store" can be a compound noun; "fresh bread" is not. On the point of grammar, would you like me to parse the complete sentence for you?

I'm an easy going man I don't mind admitting, so I'll cut to the chase again - what is a Maoist Tin Hat Brigade? You have made no attempt whatsoever to explain. I'm not interested in points of grammar in this context, I don't throw hissy fits, I want a simple answer to a simple question. I don't need a link to the Marrickville Greens to deflect my attention away. Either you don't know what it means, or you don't want to explain what the hell you're talking about. I can't make it clearer than that.  I think you have read the term somewhere and don't really know what it means.

Four simple words. Is it making your head hurt? Anyway, the latest events can only improve Trump's standing. Things are looking promising, I think we can all breath a little easier.

And you use those four simple words and won't explain them. Oh, and you don't make my head hurt, but thanks for asking. I just have a fascination for specialised terminology, so I'm still waiting - what's a Maoist Tin Hat Brigade?

These Leftists,  the ones who think the answer is to scrub history, to destroy anything that offends them (i.e. everything), who preach hate against police because of  a few overzealous officers amongst the tens and tens of thousands of good honest police, who see the CIA and agents of other fascist overlords in every shadow, THIS Maoist Tin Hat Brigade, do they really think they can win an election against the political genius that is Trump? Even if Biden does win, this lot will be the first to complain that he's not going far enough or fast enough, and there'll be four years of internal smeg till the next election. I'm not a Trump fan, but it's clear to blind Freddy that, for America's future, he's the only credible candidate.

And still the question as to what this supposed MTHB is goes unanswered with more bluff and bluster to deflect.

If you can't be bothered reading I can't be bothered explaining again. What do you want, baby words? Anyway, with the likelihood of a Trump win increasing with every act of civil disobedience, I think Australian politicians need to start telling us how they intend to react. Trump is, after all, a protectionist and will insist that Australia is either with or against him. Australia has to make a choice between two strict taskmasters in China and USA, and I'm just not sure which road we should take.

Aaaaand most evidence is running contrary to Trump actually winning, especially with how he's handled the covid and stoking the riots.

Yes, Trump handled Covid poorly, but by taking a back seat in the current debate about Police behaviour, I feel he's actually having a calming effect.

Plenty of people around Fairfield have very good reason to distrust and fear communists, the same communists many 'enlightened' youth adulate. These emotions come from personal direct experience.
Wow! Really? I'll alert the media. It sounds like a seething hotbed of revolutionary activity out there.
Valvegear
The only reason they hate communists (more specifically Russians) is because they were a bunch of Nazi supporters during the war and were afraid the Russians were going to sort them out after the Nazis were defeated. Unfortunately, they were welcomed in Australia due to Menzies and his anti communist hysteria which kept him in power for far too long. I find Menzies a repugnant character as he described Hitler as a gallant little patriot before Hitlers true colours became apparent. He was so tepid in fighting the Nazis that he was kicked out.

And now we have Herr Drumpf. What can one say.
