BS how's the weather looking for finishing off the crop up your neck of the woods? A bit to dry next week or so? I'm sure wobert won't be going dry from lack of rain
Ok Dick, I have finally had all the natives get back to me and the general report is the very similar around the Wimmera.
I received info from Nhill, Murra Warra/Wallup, north of Horsham, generally nearish the big wind farm, Laharum, south east of Horsham and Rupanyup, so a good round up.
The story is yes, the crops could certainly do with a drink now and definitely within the next week or so and if so, it is going to be an excellent harvest but with further rain at the start of October will be huge.
As well, the hay job is looking very very good, so there will be a huge amount of that, although that will be the case across Victoria and I can only image a lot of NSW, right through the central west, it's been a terrific season for them. So there is probably going to be a lot of sheds full of hay looking for a place to go.
Perhaps Donald can give us a round up of things over there, earlier in the year North East of Horsham copped more rain so I can only image the situation is the same if not better over there.
All good news for the Ultima plant too, they've had a great start to their business.
as far as I know, wobert's crop observing skills are limited to standing on the verandah of the Netherby Pub with a pair of binoculars..
perhaps have a go at reading your private messages Dick, I feel a bit like I've been left standing at the alter....
