Interesting, thanks HistorianHmm, will the triangle be used to turn whole trains?I read it that the plan is that 1500m trains will be brought into the existing sidings adjacent to Appleton Dock, then broken up into 600m chunks and shunted back around the new connection to the new East Swanson Dock sidings.
Interesting to see a Week Dock rail connection as Stage 2 on the PoM doc. It basically follows the original alignment.

Welcome news but why has it taken for the port to be privatised for rail work to finally take shape ?Dont have to deal with bureaucrats as much to make a descision, and rather than hypothetical use case they actually want it.
Webb Dock is planned to linked by a bridge parallel to Bolte Bridge and then via mostly the old alignment along Lorimer Street.
