The "unsupported protocol" error when it tries to download Java should now be fixed. I changed to a different Inno Setup plugin to do the download, the old one didn't support HTTPS which the Java download link has started using. The new version 5.3.20 should  auto-download Java properly, alternatively you can install Java yourself from java.com and the DVA installer will detect it and not attempt to install it for you.

If it's hanging/crashing on startup, it's possible the serialization format has changed between Java versions and the application's cache is either unusable or corrupted. Try deleting this folder: "c:/Users/your username/AppData/Local/Temp/dvatmp"

If it still doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall it fully, also including the above step.
- Uninstall it
- Delete folder "c:/Program Files/DVA" if it exists
- Delete folder "c:/Users/your username/AppData/Local/Temp/dvatmp"
- Reinstall
After that, it should work.

Also, if you encounter any hang/crash it would help if you can run it in the command prompt and copy/paste the logging output in a PM.

It does not. And for some reason it expects my java installation to be at /bin/java. Which it is not. It is at /usr/bin/java. macOS.

Auto-download of Java is done only on Windows, Macs should already have it present (or when it first tries to run, OSX intercepts the java invocation and asks to enable it).

Also per https://github.com/jaboles/DVA5/blob/master/mac/DVA.app/Contents/MacOS/dva it does try /usr/bin/java before /bin/java (but also tries the result of `/usr/libexec/java_home` before both). Can you run 'dva' (e.g. /Applications/DVA.app/Contents/MacOS/dva) from a terminal and post/reply with the output.

It does not. I had to install it and then create an alias. When I ran the jar in the terminal I found it was only asking for /bin/java. Which was how I knew.

It was basically "/bin/java doesn't exist". Didn't try /usr/bin/java, just abjectly failed.

Whenever I use the V2 Portrait Indicator, the next train section shows the 2nd train twice, instead of the 3rd train.

I can install the Linux version without an issue however no sound. I did...and for the life of me cant remember how i did it, get individual preview sounds working OK but it has now stopped.

Hi there! Something is going wrong with DVA 5 again on my Laptop. What happens is that when I turn it on, it crashes when it gets to Analyzing Timetables. And then when I try to open it the second time, it freezes at Analyzing Timetables. I think it has something to do with that. Can anybody help me? Thank you.
