A slightly delayed 4BM9 is in the loop at Leightonfield, this train had been slightly delayed due to a burst water pipe near Cockle Creek this morning, SCT006/001 the units.Note the usual onboard refueling system just behind 4MB9's locos. Discovered yesterday that not all SCT traffic Melbourne /Bromelton near Beaudesert south of Brisbane, have that onboard refueling gear. Barry Trudgett photographed SCT007 SCT010 4MB9 refuelling at 14:40 Paterson 20/8/20 with his image on Facebook (The Northern Roundhouse)

lsrailfan Afternoon all, today I went to Leightonfield and Villawood for some photos, they are as followsSo SCT refuels Leightonfield southbound and reports on Facebook suggest Patterson in the Hunter Valley for northbound. Thanks as I am keeping track of the main features of SCT's Bromelton / QLD operations.
SCT'S015/002 Come into the loop at Leightonfield for a quick "splash and dash" of fuel.
After the fuel stop they are seen departing Leightonfield from Villawood Station, this service is bound for Laverton in Melbourne.
Hi Petan, sorry about the very late reply, I don't come here unless I have sightings, yes that is indeed the routine of the SCT Jobs, and will be for sometime until they rectify the Fuel Wagons that they used to carry.lsrailfan Afternoon all, today I went to Leightonfield and Villawood for some photos, they are as followsSo SCT refuels Leightonfield southbound and reports on Facebook suggest Patterson in the Hunter Valley for northbound. Down Gunning for a few days and got this for a change from the usual 81 & 82 procession, 44202 leading Qube's up grain yesterday (2/1/12) at top bridge Cullerin RangesThat leading 44202 is fast approaching its half century as wiki says it left AE Goodwin's Sydney factory in 1971. I am ignoring the possible 'Grandfather's Axe' scenario regarding how much is original etc etc. I am also ignoring any parts that were originally in the 40 class and reworked and fitted to the 442s, which is all covered in various books readily available anyway. If interested in these 442 matters, start a separate thread or read
