Nurses in South Dakota are saying people dont belive they have Covid right up into their final breath.

Again with the comedy routine - please stop, we're all in convulsions of laughter.

Tell me, Mike, how many times are you planning to use the Overland when it comes back next month? Every month? Given you were so vocal in agitating for its return I'm guessing you're just busting to put your bum on a seat once its back in operation, right?

Toilet paper sold out in many Adelaide supermarkets today. Again, people are at their most selfish with this virus thing - there's no such thing as a community anymore is there - only the self.

But according to Don Trump is OK because he hasn't started any new wars. He doesn't have to as the number of US citizens who have died from COVID-19 have more than made up for a lack of new wars.

LOL yeah right like all your posts are pure gold.

Just seems odd to me that we only ever hear from the Vinelander when he's trying to save an obsolete money burning train service - and yet here he is commenting on something else for a change.

There's no proof that President Clinton would have done anything differently regarding COVID19 - she could have been even worse.

And you're seriously comparing 'no new wars' to the handling of COVID19? That's really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The fact that Trump actually wedged the Chinese with North Korea was very clever and straight out of the Richard Nixon playbook and yet none of you people want to celebrate that fact. And the fact that thousands (tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands?) of lives were saved because Trump was the first President since Carter to not start a new war is also not worth celebrating according to you people too.

Because, Trump.

What do you think Clinton would have both drink and take anally disinfectant? Its highly unlikely Clinton could have made it worse.

And there's rumours that the draconian laws in SA could be in place for about a month.

If this ends up as the case every time a few positive tests are done, then the economy will tear to shreds over the next 12 months, and there won't even be a population to fuel it, because many will have moved interstate.

You need to learn to edit in source a bit better, it wasn't clear where your quote was.

And we've been through this before, Trump did not tell people to take disinfectant - I've watched the video repeatedly. He didn't say it. End of story.

Did you know that 750,000 people die from HIV every single year in Africa? Bet you didn't because nobody ever talks about it - and HIV is a completely preventable thing now-days, almost nobody in a country like Australia dies from it any more because we have access to medicines that permanently prevent the progress of the disease to AIDS in the individual.

All up some 25,000,000 Africans have died from HIV since life-saving PREP treatments became available in the late 1990's.

Where's your outrage about that? Or are you only upset when 80 year olds die in the United States from pneumonia complicated by COVID (the median age of death from COVID)?

To WHERE exactly? Where in this country doesn't have 'quarantine hotels' where COVID can potentially escape from just like it did here? The thing that really annoys me is that the person who spread it from the hotel into the community was working at kitchen in a quarantine hotel - became sick but didn't tell anyone, didn't get tested and kept on going to work. It was only discovered because their elderly mother got sick and went to the Lyell McEwan hospital and was found to have it - by then it had spread to half of Adelaide including Para Hills Shopping Centre, Hungry Jacks in Port Adelaide, Woodville Pizza Bar - you name it.

As long as we keep letting people land in this country and quarantine in hotels in the middle of our cities there's always a chance it will escape to the community. And where will the money come from to keep paying for these shut-downs every single time they happen? The private sector in this state is going to be decimated by this albeit short lockdown - who pays the taxes to keep the joint running? It almost all comes from private sector activity - currently being strangled just like it was in Victoria.

This is NOT SUSTAINABLE, we're placing our hopes in a vaccine that might never, ever arrive. Something has to change or we'll go broke trying to fight this thing.

If this were the Trump thread I'd have ignored you as I said I would...however as you appear to have had a convulsive laughter attack during the night. I have to ask how you can draw such a long bow between ignorant Republican voting citizens needlessly dying in South Dakota because there is almost no social distancing nor mandated mask wearing and me travelling on the Overland.
