Daniel Andrews Imploding Act

As of 2:55 PM...no story has 'broken' regards the Premiers sobriety, not that being tipsy or worse is illegal and drunkeness in a public place, not that I'm giving this apparent rumour any oxygen is no longer a felony anyway.

Meanwhile, moving on. Dan is apparently starting the long rehab process.

Yeah Peta Credlin put her angry face on at her 6pm diatribe last night and sneered her way through this. As with most of the bile she spits at Dan Andrews, it never rates a mention in the mainstream media the next day or so. See what happens this time. Careful what you wish for in regards to age care, thats Federal.

Well no love lost there given how angry he's been at her questions in press conferences. I'm not belitting Daniel Andrews' fall by saying that - just that they hate each other so its natural she was finding it hard to be sympathetic.

The injuries are quite serious but there's conflicting reports about the precise nature of it and whether or not it is operable.
Is that against the law Bevans? Unlike say.... doing the right thing and standing aside whilst rape allegations are resolved not illegal but, or illegal actions regarding Robodebt.
wobert
No it is certainly quite legal to be drunk and fall down on private property, yours or a friends.
Yes; Don has produced a tasteful card with the letters U P Y O U R S on the front. I think it stands for Us Poor Yokels Offer United Real Sympathy.

That's about the best zinger I've heard on here for a while... sad isn't it.
Wet stairs, eh. Should exonerate the member for cook, he doesn’t hold a hose. Even a moderate fall/slip can result in major damage, mother in law broke a hip in a carpeted lounge room. I slipped on five stairs and for the next week or so, was manoeuvring around the house on a wheeled office chair, hopefully Dan won’t suffer permanent damage.
michaelgm
A close friend visiting from Melbourne a few years ago tripped in my backyard - much was my fault though really, usually the area was lit but the light was off that night and she wasn't familiar with the backyard AND yeah we'd all had lots to drink that day. Lucky it was just a scrape that resulted from the fall and she isn't the litigious sort...

So I can't blame Dan for being a bit pissed and falling down some steps at a friends' house hes not that familiar with.

Careful @don. Some here might accuse you of being understanding and sympathetic.
Rumours only point to Dan have the common and recognisable A+E diagnosis DFDS.
Been there, done, not funny at the time.

Nothing from 3AW yet. Given the seriousness of his injuries and that he was taken to hospital about 8 in the morning, it appears unlikely that it occurred the previous night. The spelling and grammar leave a bit to be desired. It’s Andrews and guest should be plural. The post seems to be sailing close to the Defamation wind. Even public drunkenness is no longer a crime in Victoria.

PS: It rained overnight on ‘The Peninsula’.

He really did himself a mischief with that fall. Only now is he up to walking for an hour, and his advice is that he won't be back full-time until June.

Don't write Albo off just yet.

ScoMo only has a one seat majority in the House and with the Labor states going gangbusters, ScoMo will be in a bit of a cold sweat whenever he thinks of polling day for the next year.

scomo got a serve at the footy in WA and a bloke at a SA festival gave him a one fingered salute. Cold sweats alright.

Scott Morrison imploding act thread perhaps.

1 doesn't hold a hose
2 didn't have enough vaccine deals
3 Has a HUGE woman problem
4 ministers don't get sacked for wrong doings     they get hidden or endure empathy training       except Bridget McKenzie

Good God this list could be endless

Both Scroto and Albo don't really project leadership qualities, they both become inaudible to the average human ear after only 15 seconds from beginning of interview, blah blah blah leppington triangle, blah blah blah front of the queue, blah blah blah labour's fault, blah blah blah I spoke to Jenny, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

We may yet see a demonstration of the old adage that Oppositions don't win elections; Governments lose them.

Yeah well about that.

SCOMO's popularity which is still +50% has mostly taken a hit from the female vote. Some of this will not doubt come back with time unless he F's up more in other ways. Certainly not impossible.

According to the polls, Ambo (at his high of 32%) has failed to grab SCOMO's loss of popularity. Overall Ambo is no more popular than MT, TA or Billy. which also indicates that AMBO is currently not seriously being seen as an alternative PM and as such the ALP need to look for an alternative now, or face going to the election with an unpopular leader (again) and should they win means that they are only one stuff-up away from loosing the following election.

As for gang busters, the current ALP position was the same as just before the last election and we know how that went.

Is SCOMO sweating? No idea, unlikely to be impressed by the polls but its a case of been there done that. The polls show SCOMO;s performance with CV-20 has been overwhelmingly supported by the people, but is it enough and will it last?

Foreign Minister Marise Payne has torn up Victoria’s controversial Belt and Road agreements with China in the first use of new powers allowing the commonwealth to unilaterally veto deals it views as contrary to the national interest.

Senator Payne revealed on Wednesday night she had cancelled four agreements — all negotiated by Victorian authorities — including a 2004 deal between the state‘s Education and Training Department with Iran and a 1999 scientific co-operation agreement with Syria.

The two BRI deals include the 2018 Memorandum of Understanding between the Andrews’ government and the National Development and Reform Commission of China, and the 2019 Framework Agreement, which built on the earlier deal.

Someone should tell her about the Port of Darwin next.

Oh wait, that was set up by Andrew Robb, formerly of the LNP. Nothing to see here, move on...
