Police intelligence reporting is suggesting more of the same today.

Have a close look at the so-called tradies. The ones you see wearing tracksuit pants and sneakers aren't tradies, they're agitators who want a fight.

public unrest is growing are we facing a period of civil unrest?
Unfortunately usual idiots devalue the message, "lets go protest, vandalise and break stuff" which is all most people with a clear head actually see.

There’s nothing more to see. When I see most protests all I see is dick heads wasting my time blocking streets for generally no discernible (certainly no valid) reason.

Wow, Victoria must have some really intelligent police, predicting this is not exactly within the same level of difficulty as predicting lotto numbers.

I see nothing wrong with asking the media to delay the broadcast in order to prevent police tactics going to the mob.

There's a flamin' huge difference between "delaying broadcasting of what you've filmed " and imposing a no-fly zone over the city to prevent filming.

Nice try, it was POLICE TACTIC'S, to stop the Media alerting the Protestors as to where the cops might be.
  kitchgp Chief Commissioner

It's more likely the media aerial frenzy is becoming a hazard to police operations. They are only giving the demonstrators oxygen anyway.

Watching the News reports of the protests at the Melbourne Shrine. This place is to honour and remember those who gave there life in service to our country. It’s a place that should be treated with the upmost respect and what has happened today is totally wrong and offensive to so many.
My Great Grandfather died in Gallipoli, my Grandfather was involved in the fundraising to build the shine. As a Serving Soldier I have been on parade several times in honour of those who served before me.My last ever Ceremonial Parade was at the Melbourne Shrine of Remberance as an appeal was launched to fund the restoration of the shrine. At the time I did know until have way though the event my Grandfather was a special guest. It was such an honour to be part of something that was so important to him and know how proud he was as we stood together afterwards at the eternal flame.

This is not about my views on the protests as such but the total disrespect for such a sacred place and what has happened today is never acceptable.

Couldn't have said it better, obviously those people down there do not have a brain, otherwise, they would stayed well away from such a sacred place!

A delay of only a few minutes would have been sufficient for that, and even that deal should have been abandoned once any sign of police using offensive tactics (e.g. pursuing dispersing protesters) was observed.

The reply should have been be "thank you for your request, it shall be forwarded to the appropriate department for consideration" followed by switching control of any broadcast to Sydney.

Broadcasting and aviation are both matters for federal regulation.

Police should welcome the accountability. It protects them from themselves.

It probably also restricts the flying of drones in the area, by defining it as one of public safety (police operations).

Just been asked by a colleague in Britain about stories circulating there about 'civil war in Melbourne' !

I will need to ponder upon what to tell him.

Sadly, it does seem that whatever is decided upon just about anything these days that some group or other will exercise their 'right to demonstrate'.

Is the only demonstration not permitted that against the continued lockdown and the, in some cases childish and inconsistent, restrictions associated with COVID?

That’s interesting, I have relatives in Manchester that asked if we can send some police to the UK to teach them ‘how to properly handle a protest’!

I like the demand for immediate Ivermectin - an anti-worm medication for horses and sheep.

Someone should start a rumour that rat poison cures Covid. That will reduce idiot numbers quick smart.

I must admit I've seen some horrendous violence by some police against some of the protesters in Melb. The one at Flinders Street Station, which I won't post here due to its graphic content, should result in charges against the cop imo.

And bad behaviour by protesters again today after they hurled abuse at health workers at the Town Hall vaccination hub.

People are losing their minds and their composure.

I actually think that the cops should start treating them "Indian Style", if anyone has seen how the cops work over there, they will get my meaning, sorry, no mercy should be shown to these RWNJ Thugs!!

People are losing their minds, what were those health care workers thinking? They should have just had loaded syringes at the ready and stuck them into the protesters as they came... Such a needlessly missed opportunity.

Some of the Police violence was maybe on the brutal side. But you know what, I wont lose any sleep over it. If they want to play silly buggers.

I hope they do not waste anytime soon on trying to find the police.

Big deal.
