Old is an understatement,Z 182 has been advertising Tatts for almost four years, albeit having had a couple of "makeovers" during this period.

could life really be a dream? shboom Laughing  anyway it's kind of ironic that tatts only advertises on one tram and from yarra's western suburbs depot. hmmm bit of a pattern coming along. but surely it has been longer than four years or maybe tatts switched from another Z3 to 182 in the meantime? Confused
Nexas The Ghost of George Stephenson

Z3.182 has been adverstising Tattslotto since December 2001, back when it was based at Brunswick Depot. It ran from Malvern for a while before returning to Brunswick. In October 2003 it recieved a new version of it's livery, before a mechanical failure left it sitting at East Preston depot for a few months while it was waiting to be repaired. Only then, after all that, did it move to Essendon.

Regarding B2.2064, since it has been moved to Essendon while advertising Highpoint, does it mean we will see it running route 82 past Highpoint? When B2.2068 advertised Ikea it was moved to Kew to run past Ikea on routes 24 and 109.

So referring to Nexas' comments in this thread on 18 Oct, I presume this marks the end of what I would guess was the oldest AOA campaign currently running. Are there any others that have been going for more than four years on the same tram?

I saw the Z1 yesterday and the A2 today and I have to say I think it's quite a cool design (although I don't really care for the car itself one way or the other and there is a slight irony in seeing an ad for cars on a public transport vehicle).

Another Z1 in advert livery... now I've heard everything.

I don't know, I think it's good to see a bit of life being put back into the old beasts. Long live the Z1/2s!

something i noticed. B2 trams numbered with the last number as three from like 2043,2053,2063,73 etc as well as 2047 and stuff don't have the whole wording on the top of the tram. wonder why this is?

I noticed yesterday that Z1.94 now has numbers. However, at one end the number appears as just an outline, quite faint. At the other end it looks like a white number has been stuck on top of a white surface so it's barely noticeable. Unless it's the impression of the old number underneath showing through the white sticker? Odd in any event that this tram doesn't simply feature white numbers on the windscreens as normal...

And another damn smart looking advertising tram it is too. There have been so many really imaginative AOA designs lately, looking especially impressive on the Combinos.

Is this down to just one person I wonder, or is there a whole team of ad design gurus nibbling the ends of their collective pencils! Anyone know which company the creatives work for? A fantastic effort either way from those involved...
