Thats a nice picture, Webslave, of DVR at night !!!

Unfortunatly i won't be able to attend as our running day is the same day and then it is a 3 hour drive from here (Corowa) to you (DVR).

However i might be there for the Pine Creek 20th !

David, do we have to email you for the form to fill out?

There's a form on the dvr website..........

As for that "artistic" shot of DVR at night, next tinme I'd suggest you take the lense cap off - it quite different at night, with the signals out, headlights all around........the yard's floodlit etc.   Wink

Um dude, these trains do have headlights.... When on high beam they can be quite comparable to that of a cars headlights.

It hurts the eyes just to look at the miniature train headlights when on high beam.

From what I make of it... The joke was that nothing could be seen at night? Hence the black backround?

Well the only way to find out what it is really like is to come for a ride Sunday nite.
Hey david that photo could have been taken in one of the tunnels late at nite in a loco with no lights on. Wink

We had a wonderful evening, carried approx 1500 passengers between 5pm and midnight.

We had a visiting XPT loco that did some sterling service until an emergency braking event disturbed the braking on one bogie and we had to take it off.

All in all I think everybody enjoyed themselves.

The night was CRAZY !!!

I had beena tthe AMRA Model Railway Show all day and made tracks to DVR after the show closed. Once there we had two signalmen in "B" Box all night - it was that bust ( and I were one of the two)

I had a visit by "S 301" and probally missed alot more people. It was very busy in the box. COmbine with other problems it made for a  night I'll remember.

The railway was busy between 7-10pm with big crowds. So I think we had a great day. Last train pulled in about 11.45pm, and then the pack up.

It was a great nite with alot of happy passangers and members, Lots of trains ran and we had our fair share of problems with three derailments through the nite, also at one point the line to ride the train was pretty much out the park and thats a long way.
