Nice to meet you iceman. You were the only one who came up that I know. Would have like to meet more, but there was a exhibition to see !

DVR got out of the venue by 8pm and had unloaded and left DVR by 10pm that night.  Good show !

One of the items I thought about was it was a big task for one club. Perhaps we can organise with every club and have a "AALS / Miniature Railway stand with models of every size from as many clubs as we can organise ?

I do know that the Box Hill Miniature Railway wants to display, and I encourage them to do so.

Yes, the Flap open was far more interesting. Normally yuo do not see inside or get near one of these things, so yes it was different !!!!

Thanks for the input. I'm biased, I  built the model railway with a friend, it did keep the smaller ones amongst the visitirs to the show amused. THe height  and access is not for the fainthearted - a few trains were derailed when "childzila" pawed the locos !!!!

Now I really need a signal circuit to get 2-3 train running, even at DVR it is great to see  all the train during a busy spell !

Hay David do we what happening with Andrew Merishes A class? has it been started? what stage is it at? Will it be V/line orange like his others including the Y class? Oh yeah everyone who saw that Y class should know that is unique. it alone with Andrew's X class and a South Australian 900 class owned by Michael someone thay all have MU (Mulity Unit Running) and if u come down to the pine loop event at DVR you will probally see them in action. It produces some good photo options. Anything to Add or correct David?

I noticed alot of kids we touching things and parents didnt do anything about it. I think alot of people dont realise how much time goes into model trains/layouts and how much they can be worth.
I know most of my freinds dont. One night a few years ago one of my mates leaned over my models and his phone fell out of his pocket landing on the end of a brand new D van i had got for xmas from train world. It took a mighty chunk out of the end and it really stands out. Another time this chik i was seeying sat down on my desk and i had models and things i was working on on it,  she didnt seemd fased about it at all!!

To be slighty picky, the DVR model miniature railway would be N gauge, not N scale. If it was N scale, the track would be about 1mm gauge.  Wink

Oh yeah everyone who saw that Y class should know that is unique. it alone with Andrew's X class and a South Australian 900 class owned by Michael someone thay all have MU (Mulity Unit Running) and if u come down to the pine loop event at DVR you will probally see them in action. To be slightly more (or less depending on one's point of view) picky, you really should check out the meaning of the word "unique". A loco with unique MU ability would be quite pointless.  Very Happy  In any case, there are probably hundreds or MU capable miniature locos around the world. Perhaps the 3 you mention have a MU system that is unique to them alone. Or unique to DVR. Perhaps some clarification would help. I'd be interested to know what the situation really is.

ps. Yes, I was at Box Hill Monday afternoon.  Smile

Mod note: split most of the MU discussion into it's own thread, so the post above is the last on MU here (couildn't decide to move this one or not, so I left it)
