Just looking for a list of all the liveries produced by Austrains. And also custom liveries that been painted onto these models. Photos would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Austrains:
NR Standard
Steelink
Seatrain
Trailerail
NR30 Grey
NR52 Black
Pacific National
Pacific National Trial
Ghan
Indian Pacific

The Grey and Black liveries were very limited runs, and are quickly snapped up when they come on the market. I know mjoiner does or used to paint NR's into NR30's indigenous scheme for around $600, no doubt someone has done NR52 as well.

I don't know of anyone that has done NR52 in the Pacnat livery with stars as yet, but it's possible.

To give you an idea, this is my collection Exclamation
From Left to right - NR8,25,28,29,30,40,41,52,53,57,58,103,109,120 Exclamation
NR25 & 120 have since been "ebayed" to pay for my SSR/CFCLA T's Very Happy ...and the layout changed!!!!!!
I was gonna get MJ to do a "Spotty" one but I got him to do alot of other (less expensive) repaints first!
I was also going to re-decal NR8 to NR52 is new livery but the stars available from "Signs of all kinds" are too small so that idea has been post-poned until others come available.

NR52 and NR30 look fantastic! Pity the real ones don't look that good anymore.  Why was there so few of them (unpainted ones) sold?
I've always wondered, if the Austrains NRs (and other locos for that matter) sell so well, why don't they make more of them?

Where is your Trailerail unit ?

I do like the weathering on NR 120, but you still need to get a couple more vanilla's and remove the diamonds, and weathered them hard.

You can't have enough NR's.

NR 52 was in Morandoo yesterday, I like them stars, they're real pretty.

I think the plan is to run them again soon, possibly all colours except original Grey 30 and Black 52.

I don't know if there will be any upgrades, sound would be good along with working lights and individual air hoses.

The Trailerail one is between the black one and the Seatrain one, it is the oddball of the Trailerail/Seatrain/Steelink triple in that the ends were still the sunflower yellow, so is easy to mistake for the standard livery.

Finding NR30 and NR52 in their undercoat schemes is virtually impossible, as most are held by modellers, many of whom are members here (such as 4464 and myself) who don't intend on parting with them. As such their demand is high, and on eBay they have been seen going for prices beginning to rival the lower end brass!

gee I only have 2 NRs, NR75 and  NR25 so I green with envy. Hopefully they'll release some more soon, like some more Vanilla NRs and NR52 in her new livery

I spotted an NR class loco on eBay the other day, which was numberless, so if you were clever enough you could number it any number you want.

Can't remember what the asking price was or who the seller was.

I've still got one of those - I've never found decals the right size to number mine... but it's not a high priority. It will eventually be NR2, as delivered.

I would love to get some more vanilla's but paying anymore than $245 for one on Ebay (or elsewhere) I just wont do!
The first NR I bought (NR58) was only $225 plus $20 for weathering. The most I paid is $450 for NR52 off Ebay a while back but it was needed to complete the collection and plus it is a personal favourite,so I was willing to pay big!

But $350 for a plain jane.....No Thanks!
