What the rail industry wants is a bit more certainty.  The Vic Govt should extend the subsidy until the Port-Rail project is complete, instead of last minute reprieves that last just 12 months.

All timber sleepers on the mainline (but NOT Loop sections or East track) between Bendigo and Macedon have been replaced with concrete sleepers.  Line speed remains at 130 km/h on sections previously  ...

It should be mentioned that Eaglehawk station redevelopment is complete.  But the section of extended platform is not open yet.  That might be because of driver familiarisation/final sign-off etc?
