I never understood why E trams were allowed to run on the 30 for such a short lowly patronised route, shouldn't YT allocate those trams on higher patronised routes where it is most needed? When E tram ...

Why change the Cross City group and replace the Frankston line with Sandringham especially if X-Traps cannot run on that line due to infrastructure issues? It would be a huge waste of money doing that ...

So they can't port the existing X-Traps to the other side of the network due to infrastructure issues I assume? I've noticed that Sandringham line has no mention of running newer modern trains.

Just hope the next generation trams will have the same size as a B2, or slightly bigger. Hopefully nothing like the D1's because it is smaller than a B2 which is laughable not to mention the smaller a ...

Does anybody know when construction of this new facility is going to commence and how long will it take to complete?

I hope this means we can finally see E trams running on the 59 as well along with the 58, and get rid of those Z3's on route 57, I find it rather pathetic it is the only city bound route that has no b ...

I've noticed several B2's have been moved from various depots, most likely due to the shortage. How can Route 58 and 59 have more trams running during peak if there is a tram shortage?

So I guess these new trams will go somewhere else, like somebody mentioned a new depot will be built in the North Western suburbs, I guess this depot will replace Essendon since E class trams are supp ...

Interesting to see that route 58 will be the next route for E trams to operate. So once Southbank begins operating their E trams Malvern will cease operations on route 58 once there is enough E trams  ...

If Malvern were to take 100% operation of the 58 with only Z3's and D1's, people will complain not having B2's on the route, and personally I find D1's are the worst tram introduced in Melbourne with  ...

It would be interesting to see that Essendon to get E class trams but I don't think that will happen anytime soon, as Essendon is a rather small depot and cannot fit multiple E class trams unless if t ...

According to Yarra Tram's Facebook a lot of people are complaining about the new route 58 stating the trams are usually congested and there are not enough larger trams to accommodate the route. Person ...

I just wish the seats were more comfortable and softer like the ones found on the Z/A/B fleet, ever since after 2001, the seats on the rest of the low floor trams are horrible and in poor quality, and ...

How frequent are X-Traps on the Cross city circle group? Haven't really had time to observe X-Traps on this group yet but it appears they aren't as frequent on the former original Connex lines.

As far as I know East Preston depot is currently used for storing trams, some of the Z1's are currently stored there.

So far Essendon and Glenhuntly has received B2's from Preston when a new E tram ...

[quote=A hat with a toucan 2:ele]I saw two trams on the route 59, one was advertising extreme shapes in brown livery, while the other one was advertising the 10th book of A dairy of a wimpy kid in red ...

^^ What are you talking about? 3017 is a C1 class tram and they are only allowed on Kew routes only (48 and 109), unless if your talking about B2 2037 which most likely got transferred from East Prest ...

So does anybody know when the other X-Traps will start running regular services on the Frankston line?

How come only one X-Trap runs in the morning on the Frankston line and not regularly? Are there still restrictions from preventing running regular services on the Frankston line?

So far Brunswick has only sent their B2 trams to East Preston and Essendon depots, when a B2 either arrives at East Preston or Essendon, they will displace their smaller trams to other depots, so far  ...

^^ I thought A1 231 caught on fire and has been withdrawn? Are you sure its not a Showgrounds shuttle and doing a full service on Route 57?

D2's to West Preston would probably be a good idea if the new timetable didn't split the 112 route when it was jointly run by both Southbank and East Preston, I hear a lot of people are unhappy about  ...

Well, Yarra Trams haven't even finished applying the PT liveries on the Z3 trams that are still in MK2/MK3, who knows why they stopped, again just like when they decided to stop applying MK4 on the Z  ...

Earlier this week I did see 2030 running a route 59 to the city, and I assumed it got transferred to Essendon, though I wasn't to sure until I saw 5003 on the 19. Yet again, I could be wrong though if ...

^^ I went past Essendon Depot today and saw 2030 being stabled there, so yeah, I believe it got transferred because Brunswick got an extra D2.
