The NSWGR 39 Class.

An updated 38 with a 4-8-4 or 4-8-2 configuration (Was most likely a 4-8-4 due to the size of the firebox!) with a larger firebox and a new tender with 6 wheel bogies.

Being realistic, not many Diesel locomotives are favoured to be driven from the number 2 end, even the G class.

Wow! Thats the best I've ever seen 711 perform to date! I can still remember in 2000 going behind R711 and R761 from Seymour!

I was walking by the school and I saw a headlight in the round house.

Is 3237 still at Broadmeadow, as I saw it a couple of days ago when I was walking around.

Mods, close this thread please.

Ok, I didn't want this thread to be hi-jacked by idiots.

Grow up the bunch of ya's and take your argument somewhere else. For all we know R766 could be used on a ballast train for driver training.

I'm guessing I might make a trip up there soon...Headed up to Cessnock to see my cousin play with the Jets, so might make an excuse to see it.

Hi, I was recently reading The Newcastle Herald and it appears R766 has been completed. But the reason why I'm asking is, the loco is now out in the elements.

Thanks, Jeremy.
