Does anyone know what the Tasmanian rail speed record is and when it was set?

I seem to recall something about an R class pacific doing a speed run but have no evidence.

A "Mobile Motel" might work but would need to be 4 star for less than the cost of a flight plus a non-mobile motel. Departing after 2200 and arrivng around 0700 and offerring breakfast, etc. Perhaps r ...

Totally agree.Its a bit like the additon of non-existant hyphens or slashes into train numbers.32 runs six days a week - when it runs on a Friday it is 632. It is not 6-32 or 6/32 or .......
