I’ve been informed in an Instagram chat that T18/T77 have now entered service with TTU upgrades. They were reported on run 108 today.

Hey that was my photo! And to correct you, the set was T52, not T53. I was lucky to get T52/T73 on my ride home because I hadn’t seen them earlier. Would have looked through the whole set if it wasn ...

I’m certain he follows projects, surely a fact. I don’t want anything to do with this thread anymore, thanks to these attacks.

I think he probably knows someone involved in the project. That’s my only thought. But please don’t attack me deliberately next time!

I noticed the app now has B set cars included, which it definitely needed. Just K, C and V set cars to go.

Just to warn people that the link is subscription-only. It's extremely typical of News Corp sites to hide loads of their articles behind paywalls.

T76 is confirmed to be at Unipart for TTU. It was Phil (Sydney Trains Vlogs) who informed me on Facebook.
So, it's now April. Any news on the Tangara Technology Upgrade, apart from these facts:

- T72/T106 have been testing for a while

- Apparently T76 has been upgraded[/quo ...
Not very up to date, but see https://trackrecordfl.wixsite.com/trackrecordfl/fleet-lists
That list is from 2016, ...

Not to mention they are the second largest fleet on the network in terms of individual amount of carriages, surpassed only by the Waratahs (A/B sets). Of course they can only do a few at a time.

Public transport is still an essential service, so they can’t pull all the Tangaras out of service at once just for this upgrade. T4 customers rely heavily on this fleet as nothing else can run on t ...

Certain that Hornsby sets (black set plates) will probably be worked on before the Mortdale sets (red set plates) as the former primarily runs the T1/T9 lines which can easily dispatch an extra Warata ...

Been informed by Phil (Sydney Trains Vlogs) on Facebook that there is now a third set, T76, in the process of receiving TTU upgrades. He also mentioned two other cars, which I presume are the two spar ...

Moving Tempe to the T8 line will still cause issues, as it means losing a direct train to Wolli Creek for Airport interchange. It would be annoying for customers there having to go all the way to Reve ...

That Metro from Bankstown to Cabramatta idea would require having to rebuild Cabramatta entirely just so it can have a turnback. Not really feasible.

As for Erskineville and St Peters possibly gett ...

I’m certain the Hurstville Metro got scrapped due to conflict with freight runs that may have to divert via the T4/SCO lines. Bankstown to Liverpool is looking more unlikely since Bankstown was prob ...

As said, it can handle one or two Waratah sets. Any more and the power sources need upgrading. The lack of upgraded substations for the T4 line is why there are so many Tangara sets running on it, to  ...

T74 did not have the signs, nor any upgrades on it. Went past it at AMC/Unipart yesterday while heading to Parramatta and it’s not getting the upgrade as of now. They probably want to finish T72/T10 ...

Not only will 10-car D sets on the SCO be unable to fit the platform length at all four ESR stations (plus T4 platforms at Town Hall, Central and Redfern), it will also cause a new SP8 category to be  ...

Replacing the whole Sydney Trains network with Metro is wrong, as MTR owns the Metro and I despise MTR for the horrid highrises they construct around their stations. Metro also reduces the amount of s ...

The D sets are not a true V set successor, just another over-glorified H set. This government really is sabotaging interurban commuters by having their services be run by a much inferior fleet to make ...

This is a up to date list of sets and car numbers, compiled by me, also with notes included for certain sets: https:// ...

If this line gets erased thanks to the Metro as well, I will declare that I don’t want to live in Sydney anymore. Our only hope is if the McKay Government is elected in 2023.

T72 and T106 will continue testing until June at this stage. That’s a little over a whole year since testing started.

I looked through and you incorrectly listed D6147 as being on T99. That car is actually on T24. The car you were meant to put for T99 was D6273.
