It probably has been covered elsewhere but if St Albans and Ginifer go underground, does this nullify the missing part of Region Rail Link? Vline trains for ever stuck behind sparks to Sunbury?
[quote=kuldalai][quote]Thanks for the replies the 2 reasons I'm going to Melbourne is for a ride in the premium carriage on the overland and back to Adelaide and to ride every suburban train line in M ...

I often catch the Echuca service from Spencer St in the afternoon, and I have never ever seen the destination displays show the first three carriages as Echuca and the last three as Bendigo. Speaking ...
[quote=TOQ-1]There was a tweet today that the Afternoon Down Swan Hill Service would be operating as a Train from Bendigo only due to a train fault so obviously somewhere an N or N set failed and were ...

Google street view shows the tramway disc signals still in place at this crossing, in August 2014.

I do not know if it still works, but I remember this ...
Considering there is already an active thread about this very topic, your thread seems pointless.
not so pointless, the other thread is just Labor vs Liberal now
The other thread on this has got a tad political so I think a more practical discussion is needed.
From what I am seeing is a very short stretch of track that connects to no existing lines and ter ...
Back on topic though, there was an earlier post regarding ownership of old stations on active lines. On the Bendigo line, given that Taradale, Carlsruhe and Elphinstone are all houses, does that mea ...

Thanks for the info all, maybe I should bother to read my council newsletters once in a while. As for Latte Sipping, I usually associate that with the lycra crowd. I too am I city turned country, but ...

I started this chat and nothing yet persuades me that the RRL helps the Bendigo line at all. A new track layout at Watergardens, a new timetable come April and the very much factual matter of all thos ...

Railblogger, call me stupid, but you could add a thousand tracks at Watergardens, but there are still all those metro stations between there and Spencer St, I cannot see this as a solution.
[quote=BrentonGolding]Bear with me here as Maths was never my strong point. Looking at the Sunbury Metro timetable it seems that a Down Sunbury stopping all stations service takes around 30 minutes fr ...
Take the 4:57 Bendigo express for example, it crawls its way through the Northern suburbs at a painfully slow pace.
I'm just cranky that after all the time and effort and those lovely weeks of buses (sorry "coaches"), the result for us suckers on the Bendigo is really no change.
yea right, we have had three or more timetable changes thanks to RRL. All the same, no change, well ex North Melbourne of course.
Given that one could assume that the line between Footscray and SC is now complete, why is it that the most annoying part of my journey on the Bendigo line is that little trip? We crawl over that stup ...
Not much to add, but I'm surprised no thread has been added here. Is it just a case of a union making the most of a new Labor Govt?
