I really dont see the benefits of electrification to Mornington at this stage. The bus service between Frankston and Mornington has improved dramatically over the past few years, with three services r ...

Was it the weekend when you were trainspotting? I don't think they run X'traps as much on the weekends.

However the only thing im worried about is the fact that mobile numbers and personal information can be accessed so easily by someone.

According to this afternoons MX, a couple of Siemens trains were used on the Epping line this morning during the problems. Can anyone confirm?

I remember that the Siemens can upgrade their systems by propogating software automatically to other sets when coupled. I wonder whether this can be applied when a software fix for the brake problems  ...

I notice there are now a few portable offices set up in the car part at Kananook, most likely related to the works commencing soon.

Between Burwood and Ashburton?

There seems to be a speed restriction through Laburnum station. Both times I have passed through trains have been doing around 20 to 30 kph. Anyone know how long this will be in effect for?

I shoul ...

I'm quite suprised that this information hasn't been made available to the public yet (in particular via their website). Perhaps they are madly running around putting up posters at stations this weeke ...

Does anyone know how well the system coped when (many?/all?) Siemens trains were withdrawn shortly after their introduction? I guess there were more.

Regarding the third track to Blackburn - Would changing the stoppers to use the centre track, and the express to use the outer (down) track help solve these problems?

Will these cancellations cause the stopping patterns of other services to be altered?
