Transadelaide is being abolished, all staff and functions are to be taken over by the new Office of the Rail Commissioner.

Yep. A nice visit to the Barossa Valley 18 months ago disturbed by a stream of concrete or similiar trucks rolling through the village.  Nice real nice.

I went out and had a look at that line the other day, all of the line is intact except for around 23K post where about 1km of track has been removed.

A few new sleepers and relaying removed rail w ...

Up north yesturday, i saw grainy cross the IP at redhill. any ideas where that one came from.



No doubt if/when the government starts running railcars to Roseworthy or further the level crossings would all be rebuilt with new equipment and all the track circuiting, etc. would be re-created  ...


What grain trains will be operating this weekend?

It will be interesting to see how TA manages things so the stoney can keep running. Roughly 1600 tonnes of limestone (discounting the tare weight of the AHSF/AHSL wagons) equates to many more road ...

With closure of Gawler line between Adelaide & Mawson Lakes for 4 months in June, will Railcars be using Dry Creek - Port Line if they are require servicing back at the Adelaide Railcar depot?

This project is such a huge waste of Taxpayers money it should not proceed any any form.  Roll on the November election.

6BA6 normally runs on sunday nights.

saw trains testing is on now,  a 3 car IMU 121 on track.

It was out again yesturday testing down to Varsity Lakes.

DTEI is moving into the old SA Water house on Grenfell St shortly.

Speed posts have just been installed, it seem the top speed on the new section will be 120Km/h between where the M1 meets the line and Varsity station and looks like it will be 100Km/h through the tun ...

I will be over on Eyre Peninsula in late August (21st - 26th) is likely to many train movements over this time?
