How damaging has the heavy rainfall been over the past week or so? More heavy rain falling now and into tomorrow, especially in the Mallee. Shame it didn't fall 4 - 6 weeks ago up there.
There were some decent falls overnight. Swan Hill had 20mm, Mildura almost the same. Hopefully doing more good than harm at this stage.
Th rail operators will have to be as efficient as possible, using every loop and crossing path available.
Sadly it seems, it still will fall quite short of the potential gains mentioned above.
I was under the impression, especially in the Mallee that more rain as needed? Hopefully the winds aren't too damaging. Hopefully more beneficial overall than damaging.
