I'm grateful for these new X'Trap 2.0 trains but am curious as to why it's only 25 trains being ordered for the Frankston, Craigieburn, Upfield lines - will they need another type of train to fill up  ...

Does anyone know when the 58 will start to get E Class trams? I heard that it would be ideal to put some on that line before the massive Upfield line shutdown?

Over the years they've had 8, although all types weren't at every station. Sorry I don't have photos, but these have been around since the 90's:

They seem to have changed 3 carriage operations recently. So instead of 8:20pm Lilydale to Flinders Street forming 9:20pm Flinders Street to Ringwood etc, they've made the 7:41pm Lilydale to Ringwood  ...

With these upcoming Sandringham line closures occurring, why is the whole line shutting down again?!?! I thought the recent 3 week closure was supposed to solve the inability to utilize the Elsternwic ...

I know V/Line V/Locity are 3 carriages more often so that would be in the Victorian thread. This is because Metro besides shuttles are rarely 3 carriages.

I haven't thought of all routes, but a majority of them I've figured out how they'd store them in extra and expanded depots:

Route 11 with 100℅ E Class could be in New Preston Depot, as well as 8 ...
