I know nothing about the D50 as it is the wrong prototype for me.

Some facts,

The problem you have is NOT due to the crimp unless it was of very poor quality as a good crimp will out perf ...

What about a forstner bit? They are designed to cut smooth sided holes and used in joinery where looks are everything.

Hi Tony.

Is 135 mm x 19 mm Tasmanian Oak suitable for the frame in a free-mo module?

If it is not, what would you suggest?

Looks good Rowan, an easy way to tell if you have missed painting a bit is to take a flash photo, all the exposed foam will light up from the flash.
