I've seen GM 22 and 27 make a few engine only trips through Barnawartha.  Perhaps they are looking to do grain from Boree Creek line as well.

No, It's cut a few back from the front and shunted by the same mainline locos.  In and out in 40 minutes.  It's all prepared and ready to go by the time the train arrives.  I watched it from a distanc ...

Saturday nights North bound left Barnawartha with about 40 units.  Dropped 1 off and picked up 6. Something I haven't seen before, it had what looked like about 10 flats with 2 refrigerated containers ...

Both SCT BM and MB in North East Vic tonight.  Crossing at the Wangaratta sale yards it looks like.

I looked at tracker last night to see where the SCT MB train was at and I couldn't find it, so assumed they weren't running, But clearly it was running.  I see tracker has the BM and MB plotting the s ...

This afternoons Vline into Albury had a horn issue staying on. Not sure how long it was stuck on.

How does that train tracking radar get it's information?

Todays train is good one.  Double headed with about 20 regular cars and 2 flats with some sort of industrial machinery.  Left at about 1.50pm.

The load has increased to 7 cars of late from Barnawartha, I don't think they run Mondays. I read somewhere the loadings are pet food and groceries. What freight is inbound I do not know.

A new crossover from the West track onto the East track ?
Nightfire
The flyer didn't say, Logically just going from West to East track in the Melbourne direction would be enough.

Just received some information for impacted residents that ARTC are installing a switch / turnout at Barnawartha township.  They seem to be pumping some serious money into the Barnawartha freight hub. ...

Terrible phone video, But I believe it to be SCT's test train headed south.

Could a terminal not be built at the end of the line to service Smithton with a view to extension if it becomes viable?

Seb, I get your point but in this case there is a bigger picture.  I am closer to rural NSW wheat and all that is happening is that the buck is passed to the rural ratepayers as the local roads are be ...

No offense, but everything you have listed is within 100km of Melbourne.  There should be listed standardising regional lines, upgrading Sheparton line, Mildura possibly.

Well, I am very happy to say that this time around the track is smooth at Barnawartha. Previously they performed botch jobs only to sink weeks after.
