Every other country I know of just uses well-timed passing loops at stations. i.e. local stopper stops in outside road and express shoots through the middle...

No need to put a third line ALL the way ...

9553 (1130am) and 9557 (130pm) have always been timetabled.

9557 is optional, but has been running a lot during the weekdays to make up for weekend shutdowns.
