I thought their food was great.  I think the ZZR crew hang out there from time to time.

That night was also the last time I saw Brian Crying or Very sadCrying or Very sadCrying or Very sad .  So I have fond memories of that place.

Oh those fellas at the Lantern absolutely love the ZZR crews. We go there quite often on a few weekends when numbers permit. They love seeing us all barge in still in our overalls and guards uniforms and still dirty from jumping off the footplate, because we see those dollar signs appear in their eyes  Smile

MSG or not, the tucker there is great. We used the B'desert cars last Sat on our Wizards Expresses--and damn near every passenger car we own! Nothing beats a deadline for getting everything serviceable in time Whip Saturday was amazing---3 steam locos, 3 trains, 16 passenger cars in use, the only thing we didn't get to do was double or triple head---everything was already too busy! I like the night running too, steam engines transform into even more spectacular beasts after the sun goes down 8)

Does ZZR have a licence to display the "Beaudesert Rail" name?

The "Morgagee in possession" mightn't like it you know!

On the otherside of that carriage, it has ben painted over in yellow to match the rest of the car, unfortunately due to a full weekend of workings, the team of painters didn't get time to paint over it!

Dear  ssj, the Mortgagee in possession sold us the cars, I'm sure they noticed writing on the side before they sold them. I'm sure they wouldn't give a crap.  If the ZZR sold some cars then we wouldn't worry ourselves into a lather if our name wasn't painted out on it's first voyage. Consider yourself as having a rasberry blown at you, or you will be flogged with warm lettuce by my eight month old son. Bang Head

Dear Grantham,
I'm sure I'll enjoy meeting your 8 month old son and being flogged!!
Better by him than by Mr S eh!
Tongue is now removed from cheek.
Enjoy your carriages - BTW was car 1141 on its way to ZZR?

(brushing off warm lettuce) don't know which one 1141 is, the three we picked up were a Comissioner's car, 'Hughendon' (hope I spelled that right)  and an Evans car van with a generator. And a flat wagon. (fresh shower of warm lettuce---out of the shopping boy!)

Someone reported Evans car 1141 headed south thru Byron Bay last week  - It's not ex - BR, and I just wondered if it was ZZRs.

Humm one only has to look @ the ex WCR cars here in Victoria for an example of this, SRV are running them round on the June Holiday Specials still with the WCR letterhead in clear display, no one gave a S**t paasengers wouldn't have noticed any diffrence @ SSS I can tell you now, as Most in the 12 months WCR has been gone have already forgot WCR even ever existed....  Rolling EyesTwisted Evil

It's not gone to bellarine. BPR and ZZR are the only collectors that I know of of 3 foot six stuff on the east coast (surely it's not going to Tas!! or Pichi Richi.) Must have headed for a property somewhere - pity.

Dalts - WCR no longer exists - hence no problem. The Morgagee owns the name "Beaudesert Rail" and is known to have threatened to sue the people who are the Beaudesert Railway Support Group for using the name on correspondence. It won't be a problem soon  - BRSG are meeting to formally wind up tomorrow afternoon. The BR saga is almost over.
