This might not be that unusual but on Friday the log train nearly reversed across Henry street, would of thought they would turn the locos on the junction/wye not the whole train!

Not sure if I seen high up tasrail official in Wynyard Friday Arvo just near Doctors Rocks on the scenic route to Wynyard inspecting the track.
but it was where the council would have no interest. as its just beach on the other side.

Wish they would do the same (relay it) to the Risdon Line, where contractors tore up the track for the Lutana water recycling project. The line may be closed, but it is still under "care & maintenance" AFAIK. Not much care and maintenance going on there!!!

The line won't be upgraded. There is no plans to gain any traffic to/from Wiltshire.

Silica plant in wynyard you could have a spur off calder road level crossing.
Most of the silica bags are loaded into shipping containers in lots of 21 if I remember correctly.
Production is a lot better than the old hey bridge plant, which used second hand bits from Toxicide.
Anything is possible for the future..

What, 6 containers a day from TAM? Really worth the effort on a spur? No. Hence why its trucked.

if that plant goes bigger it could output allot more than 6 containers a day.
