This is now the official thread for nominating for the Bogie of "Most Informative Poster.

The thread will be kept open - nominations before the cut off date each year will be eligible for that year's Bogie.

Note that this thread includes previous year's nominations, so don't get confused.  Nomination last year doesn't count for this year, so don't assume someone's already been nominated for this year without checking carefully.

This Bogie is intented for those who are informative about railway related stuff only.

Nominations for Bogies 2007 start on page 4 - see my post on that page.
"On 16/8/06, SOAG"

Hi all,

I think that we should acknowledge our most informative posters - the people who manage to answer most our questions, and dig up interesting facts that we probably would never have otherwise known, making Railpage a more complete experience.

Immediately two users spring to mind:
Electra
M636C

Cheers,
biqua

As a railwayman, he's straight, to the point, knowledgeable, never acts superior, and is very forgiving of (what must to him be) stupid questions from the lay gunzel community.  His answers to questions are invariably clear, concise, and accurate.  In the rare event he doesn't know something, he'll tell you up front.

Dreams can come true.  Here I am quoting JoM.  Shocked

Aside from all those already mentioned (including JoM), I nominate kipioneer, who is well known to us SA regulars.  He doesn't post often, but he has shown that he has a wealth of knowledge and I would not be the only oldtimer who has learnt something from him.
