    A bit late but on Saturday (25/5/2013) stabled at Epping were
    278M-1919T-277M - 300M-2007T-299M

    288M-1979T-287M - 276M-1910T-275M

    285M-1977T-286M - 274M-1909T-273M

    The Hitachi sets you mentioned aren't correct.
    In March, four Hitachis were rearranged as follows
    288M-1979T-287M-293M-1987T-294M
    279M-1922T-280M-276M-1910T-275M
    278M-1919T-277M-286M-1977T-285M
    273M-1909T-274M-300M-2007T-299M.

    On another note, I saw 288M-1979T-287M-293M-1987T-294M at Ringwood running a Belgrave service on Friday at 605pm.

    I noticed that some Hitachis have been arranged again. I saw a Hitachi stabled at Glen Waverley last night in a new configuration:
    299M-2007T-300M-293M-1987T-294M

    That reminds me, lately ive noticed that there are always atleast 1 or 2 hitachis stabled at epping during the day after peak hour service which has been occurring for the past 2 months because I assume it's because of the maintenance center at Epping.

    273M-1909T-274M- 287M-1979T-288M

    Does anyone know if hitachi set 284M-1975T-283M-291M-1982T-292M will make a comeback to service because after it derailed I heard a rumour that the cables that connect each carriage to one another would cost around $500,000 dollars to replace and I just wanted to know if anyone has word on where it currently is at or if it will be reactivated because I don't see any reason to not considering their is still a train shortage. Cant they just reactivate hitachi's 298m or 295m?

    No-one in their right mind would spend half a million dollars on an old train when new carriages have literally been coming off the boat. Besides, they have to repair ex-Dandenong set 589M-1022T-583M before that (589M bumped heads with 305M, while itself and 1022T ended up in the dirt, with 583M being practically undamaged).

    I rode 279M-1922T-280M-276M-1910T-275M from Flinders Street to Parliament on a Hurstbridge service. I didn't like the closing door tone in 275M.

    Saw a Hitachi last week at Southern Cross going to Lilydale that looked more like a mural than a train.  The grafitti ferals had had an absolute field day!

    I live on the Glen Waverley line, and I can tell you I am so bored with the X'traps. I remember I used to hope for my train to be an X'trapolis, and not a Comeng.

    since Monday noticed that hitachi 288m....273m is gone and now hitachi 294m...299m is stabled in its place does anyone know what is happening with them because has the current order of xtrapolis trains maybe taken the hitachis place and so maybe they will be retired? its starting to P*** me off seeing them stabled and not moving Sad
