Deep Throat for his advise about sanding.

In the wet sometimes when I'm coming into a stop there is a hissing noise. Is that the sand?

I think you might need to seek medical advice for that problem.

Nominations closed.

New nominations go to 2010.
  GeoffreyHansen Minister for Railways

Location: In a FAM sleeper
I know it's early in the year but I'd like to nominate LamontCranston for the following post in the End of the line for the green W Class trams  thread

The green W class trams are an icon of Melbourne and should be kept at least in a tourist capacity. It would be great to see them run past the Queen Victoria markets.

On another topic, what surprises me is that there are many revenue routes in Melbourne that have no low-floor trams.
"GeoffreyHansen"

How about a shuttle service between QVM and Crown Casino?
It could run at a 12 minute frequency like the City Circle and convey passengers between the CBD and QVM and operate on the days that the market is open.
"Haydenthegunzel"

The gamblers are in need of fresh produce?

  Speed Minister for Railways

June brought a violent attack on a Friday night train home from the football and a couple of threads, one of which concerned the bail hearing of one accused.

After reading this request from the moderators
Railpage Australia understands that this issue is a subject of public interest, and won't disallow discussion on that basis. We would, however, caution involved parties to strongly consider whether their involvement in discussions is of a constructive nature, and doesn't fall into the breach category of sub judice[/i:b3e8bad684] laws.

maybe it was evil to laugh at these comments of a constructive nature:

I take it that you don't get a daily newspaper then.

Does your local paper come on newsprint or something more glossy?

Webslave, for his description of a warning...

Accordingly I issued a 5% warning, which is equivalent to a smack on the bum with a rolled up section of the newspaper. And by newspaper, I mean the high-brow sections of the Herald Sun, or the non-boring bits of the Financial Review.

Our member Revenue, for  proclaiming a new source of revenue from  Gunzels, viz, Gunzels paying to Gunzel....

I find it amusing that Mr Smith is claiming that nothing is free - when the gunzel community gets to watch trains for free! I hereby proclaim the train visual appreciation surcharge. If all Railpage members could remit their funds by COB Friday, the Victorian Government would appreciate it.
