[edit="574M"]This is Metro Transit's nomination moved from another category:[/edit]
I nominate this one by Miss X found here:
http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11344175-0-asc-s15.htm*THIS MESSAGE IS DIRECTED TO THE INCONSIDERATE MELBTRIP*
My main question to you, melbtrip, is what the hell are you smoking? Question Does it not occur to you that you are THE ONLY ONE who shares YOUR opinions? Your thoughtless, ridiculous, suburban friendly ONLY opinions!!
They can upgrade V/Line Interurban stations to Melbourne stations standards, so the V/Line station gets to point it does not need conductors on board the service.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you – but you are either senile, stupid, or just very very ignorant (I’m thinking its the latter). Connex stations are urine soaked stankholes at best. People - on a daily basis - get mugged, stabbed, bashed, spat on, abused...the list goes on. I’m sooooo sure that the people of country Victoria really want to get rid of their friendly and helpful station staff that provide them with a safe place to wait and replace them with a ticketing machine... I cannot even begin to comprehend the brainless excrement that spews from your mind Exclamation
Anyway when MYKI comes and with this upgrade of V/Line Interurban stations so allows for only driver to run V/Line Interurban services there will be no need for conductors on board train service.
"this" upgrade , would that be the one you have suggested? In order for V/Line to align their stations with Connex standards, V/Line would have to DOWNGRADE their standards. I don’t think you will find anyone willing to accept that. Also, maybe a little homework on the topic could help your pointless and pathetic excuse for an argument. ALL stations are getting Myki, including the intercity and unmanned ones so cut with the interurban junk already.
Where the hell do you get off saying that there will be no need for conductors on trains? I get that you are a shelted individual obviously from the "everyone in it for themselves" metropolitan network, but the appeal and purpose of V/Line is to provide a SAFE transport option. Throw the tickets out the door for all anyone cares, SAFETY is paramount, it comes first everytime without fail. The contrast between Connex and V/Line is that Connex cares more about revenue and performance targets. V/Line puts its passengers safety first. The reason that there is considerably less violence and anti social behavior on V/Line trains is because of the conductor patrolling the train.
When MYKI comes in there will be no need for V/Line train conductors to do check tickets on board the Interurban services because people will be using new MYKI ticketing system.
Conductors aren’t going anywhere, try to understand this. When Myki comes in, they will be using handheld devices - checking if people have swiped their cards. They will still be there to assist the little old lady through the carriage with her coffee, they will still be there to answer questions and help with luggage, they will still be there to help the disabled people on and off. The fact that you think a driver is going to be happy to jump off a locomotive, walk 5 carriages back to set up a ramp to get a wheelchair off is nothing short of hilarious Exclamation heavens even in a Vlocity you'd be strapped to find a driver willing to do that. They aren’t, as you'd say "customer oriented" You really are a joke melbtrip!
And a pointer - not that anyone wants to read your ramblings, but as you will continue to infect our eyesight with this mind boggling junk, you should take a breather & try to stop your little brain getting so excited from blurting out continuous crap and take a second to PROOF read your work. Your grammar and sentence structure is atrocious.
Your imaginary CONNEX VICTORIA can lick my grits
