Pair of CFCL S Class passed through Dry Creek around dawn, probably a fortnight ago now, leading a string of 3801 ltd cars. Anyone know and care to let on what that may have been passing through for?

Yesterday G538 was put on the front of 2MP5 (nr59-nr81 ex Melbourne) at Tailem Bend after nr81 had issues in Victoria, which resulted in the crew swapping the two nr's around meaning nr59 was long end leading up to TB. Quite a few enthusiasts including myself went after it yesterday

Oops in Kerry Intermodal yard today. Looks like one of Aurizon's loco's decided to take a nap in the ballast. Spotted it being lifted by a pair of cranes this afternoon about 16.00.

Sorry missed that post earlier.
I saw the Aurizon train as I drove over the Frances street bridge at 7:15am, and later heard on the radio news that the train had derailed entering the Port flat yard, so it took them some time to clear it up!

Sightings at Keswick Sunday 22/11/15

1AD8 today ex APT, on time at 12:15pm with NR109 NR42 with a Triple consist of 37 carriages

A long string of loaded AZRF rail wagons in the dead end siding at Keswick Loop

QR's MMY034 Rail Grinder parked in the back road of the old Keswick Yard.
Looked like there was work being done on it as a few of the grinding units had covers opened or removed.
Also interesting to note that a portable building and toilet block have been installed next to the rail grinder.

IIRC they had two of Samaras's 150 tonne cranes in there. They take a fair whack of time to set up, especially getting all the counterweights on. Quickest set up I've seen for a 150 without wing weights has been an hour. Luckily Samaras is only across the road from Pt. Flat.

Looks like the folk running the Balco are having problems with the GL's (again). On Tuesday (23/2), GL107 must've failed at Bowmans, as VL360 & CM3304 were seen either side of the troublesome loco on 4120s to Pelican Point that evening. Today (25/2) 4120s was hauled by VL358-VL360, with the same locos on 1421s to Bowmans tonight.
