    I wonder if a freight train that was what may have been "struggling" with two NR classes, EL or AL looking (I was too far away) may have difficulties or "stall" say around Awaba, Wyee, or maybe Hawkesbury River?

    Most other freight trains on the stretch I saw it usually make it easy up the grade.

Additionally, the 5:52am Hamilton to Central train has been cancelled due to the train needing mechanical repairs.     Passengers travelling on the 5:31am Goulburn to Campbelltown train on the Southern Highlands Line are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time due to extended trackwork between Goulburn and Wingello. Buses will supplement the service from Moss Vale so passengers are advised to listen to announcements.

    Buses are replacing trains between Hamilton and Fassifern due to an issue with a freight train at Cardiff. Passengers should allow plenty of additional travel time and listen to announcements.

    Hunter Line  - Delays
    Passengers are advised to allow 20 minutes additional travel time on the 6:40am Telarah to Hamilton train after the train required mechanical repairs at Hamilton earlier.


    Also the York Street exit/entrance  to Wynyard station is closed due to flooding

    Passengers travelling away from the city on the T1 North Shore & Northern Line via Macquarie Park are advised to allow additional time due to an increase in boarding times as a result of the wet weather.

    Important information
    Passengers are advised the York Street entry and exit at Wynyard Station is closed due to flooding. Passengers are advised to enter and exit the station at Carrington or George streets instead. Alternatively, passengers are encouraged to use Circular Quay, Town Hall or Martin Place stations as an alternative. Passengers should allow additional travel time.

    Hi 4206, the "issue" is that a loco caught fire, but I note that NSW TrainLink are not saying what it was.

    I knew it would've been a PN train even before I saw the photos/videos.  Looks to be an NR class.

    The fire in the NR loco was reported to have started around 5.0am. Seeing it is around 2.0pm now why has it taken over 9 hours to clear the line?

    Surely they could have dropped a loco onto the front and dragged the train clear and re-opened the line? Its not as if it is a derailment and vehicles and locos to be re-railed.

    It doesn't appear to have been well handled.

    Anyone know why it's taken so long to re-open the lines?
