To paraphrase Maikha  out of the model Railway forums:

G'day all

This thread was created as a catalyst for some of us users who are looking for particular items of interest, and want to make their search known publically.

So, for categories/guidelines for posting Wanted 'adverts'....

-Use Bold text for the actual advert
-Preferrably this thread should only be used for miniature railway collectables, such as specific carriages/locomotives/traction engine/ miniature steam boats, parts, specific tools  to aid the construction of,
which you cannot find via other avenues.

A specific thread about it should be ok if required, especially if there may be discussion on it (ie the "F" class thread  july 2009).

-State clearly your location in terms of suburb and state.
-State your desired condition of the item (Most would rather good condition, although some like myself don't mind it in rooted condition).
-State your desired price to pay for the item and any terms of negotiation
-Email address and/or preferred contact. (Use discretion when posting mobile phone numbers here).

-After you have acquired your desired item, it's best to remove the post wanting it. Otherwise, you can seek the assistance of a moderator to remove all posts concerning your complete transation.

Also, be serious about your purchase. This thread is for people who are really actively seeking an item and have the funds to immediately make the purchase. Do not post WANTED items that are mainly pipedreams that you'll oneday get when you have the money and the item.

If one were to have an item in question, and wanted to get rid of it to you, the avenue for that is to contact them by their preferred means, and then the rest is done on the basis of negotiation as a private sale (And in no terms, is Railpage Australia™ responsible for anything in this transaction).

Be aware of the  Railpage Australia™'s Advertising Policy ( http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t3052.htm )

David Head, Mod.

However, unless a suitable second hand car comes available, i thouroughly recommend sandberg bogies; there is NO BETTER value for money out there for heavy duty, no fuss, ride quality bogies, without resorting to DIY.

IIRC it was 600 per pair, when I bought some a couple of years back, delivered, with mechanical brakes. The wagon riding on them was mainly constructed from scrap/spare materials for under $100.

so it is 2 bogies (was trying to understand his wording on the site) for 600?

Hi All

I just noticed that our web address has been posted.  Thought I should get on and update.

We will be selling 71/4 inch (1/2 inch) scale 42 Class CAb Nose Cone made in fibreglass.  This will be available in the next week.

The RU's are still coming.  There is a lot of work to be done on the master.  They will be from fibreglass and will have polyurethane detail parts.  The detail parts will also be sold seperately.

Also, still on trains but in the HO scale.  We are releasing a small selection of HO Detail parts in the next week or so.  2BE bogies, 3AG bogies, Fletner Vents, Pilots for the 42,44,422 and 81 class. We will also be releasing some older style rolling stock over the coming months.

Anyone needing any further information is welcome to email or they can call, the details are on our website http://www.railcraft.50megs.com

Cheers
Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Will you be making whole 42 class bodies, or just the cabs Question.

Are they going to be done in Gauge 5" Question.

Thanks,
Ben
Ps. No worries about the free plug lol Laughing.

Hi Ben

At the moment we are only making the 42 cab and it is only in 7 1/4. Smile

Dosn't look like we will be doing it in 5 inch.  We were lucky enough to get the use of the 7 1/4 mould, but have not been able to obtain one in 5 inch.  Sorry  Smile

Thanks for the interest

Cheers

Hi Debbie,
Okay, thank you very much. An RU Question. I'm very tempted now. What will that cost Question.

Thanks again,
Ben

Hi Ben

We're not sure what the RU is going to cost yet.  We have a master, that has not been successful.  We have to go back and re-do another mould.   Sorry about not being able to price it yet.  The RU body will be made from fibreglass.  Detail parts will be made to attach to the body.

Hi Debbie,
That's okay. I'll definitely get one, as I'm still after Gauge 5". Where to start though. What's the best material for the 42 class body Question.

Thanks,

Hi Ben

I just asked Gregg and he said the body can be built from 1.6mm sheet metal, folded up with bolt on detail parts.

Hope this helps; Smile

Hi Ben

Just got Gregg to do the costing on the 42 Class Nose Cone.  The price is $550.  Not sure about delivery yet.  I will have to look into the options and see what the cheapest is for anyone needing delivery.

I was hoping to get some photo's today, but it has rained most of the day Sad  .  Hopefully will be fine tomorrow and I will be able to get them done Smile

Cheers

Hi Debbie,
Okay, thanks very much. Some photos would be great. I better start saving up now Exclamation. $550 doesn't sound that bad a price.

Thanks again,
Ben
Ps. When you say nose, does that mean the cab as well Question.

Hi Ben

Yes it is the nose and cab.  It finishes behind the cab access doors.  I will try and get some photo's done tomorrow.

Hope this clears it for you.

Cheers

Debbie
